A CPS test measures clicks per second: you click as fast as you can for a fixed time, and the score is your clicks divided by the seconds. This one gives you a 1 second CPS test for a raw burst, 5 and 10 seconds for a fair average, and 60 seconds if you want to know how long you can hold a pace.
The timer starts on your first click, not when the page loads, so nothing is lost while you get your hand into position. Your best is kept for each length separately — a 1 sec CPS test and a 10 second run are different events, and mixing them would make the number meaningless.

What is a CPS test?

How is the CPS score worked out?
Clicks divided by the length of the test, shown to two decimal places. Twelve clicks in a one second test is 12.00 CPS. There is no cps calculator to fill in — the cps tester does it the moment the clock stops.
When does the timer start?
On your first click, never on page load. Until you click the pad the clock sits still, so you can read the page, pick a length and start when you are ready.
Which test length should I use?
One second for a raw burst, five or ten for a number you can compare, sixty for stamina. A cps test 1 second run rewards a single fast twitch; the longer runs reward a rhythm you can hold.
Is my best score saved?
Yes, in your browser, and separately for each length. Beating your ten second best does not touch your one second best. Nothing is uploaded and there is no leaderboard.
Can I do a right click or keyboard CPS test?
The pad counts left clicks, taps, Enter and the spacebar. A right clicking cps test is not counted, because the right button opens the browser menu instead.
What is a good CPS?
Around 6 to 8 clicks per second is normal on a ten second run, and over 10 is fast. Techniques like jitter and butterfly clicking push it higher, but they are hard on your hand and hard to repeat.
Is there a plain click counter without a timer?
Yes — the click counter counts without a clock and keeps the number for as long as you want it.
How do I test my CPS?
Pick a test length, click once to start the clock, then click as fast as you can until it runs out. Your CPS is the total divided by the seconds, so a ten second run gives the fairest figure — a one second run swings by a whole point on a single missed click.
